“A summer resort of Old Time Western atmosphere and modern convenience, located at the elevation of 6100 feet in the Absaroka Range of the Rocky Mountains, only 25 miles from the Eastern Entrance of the Yellowstone Park and an equal distance from Cody – one of the few remaining typical Western towns.” The Bill Cody Ranch originated as the Lazy Bar H Ranch owned by Leonard Morris, a Hollywood movie actor in the early-mid 1900's. The original Lodge was meant to be “typical of Western life, with its Navajo rugs, Indian curios, hunting trophies, huge fireplaces and unusually comfortable furnishings” Today we strive to maintain the Lodge’s historical presence and provide an atmosphere that helps our guests relax and truly enjoy the company or their friends and family. In the Main Lodge you will find the reservation desk, dining room, Saddlesore Saloon, gift shop and the Wyoming Suite. |
